Five Years on the Course: Recapping the 2026 Haven Homes Golf Outing

Five years ago, a small group of people showed up at a golf course and decided to put their dollars behind safe housing for women in Detroit. They came back the next year. And the year after that.
On June 3rd, they came back again.
Our 5th Annual Golf Outing at Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center was our most successful fundraiser to date. Near sold-out attendance, incredible weather, sponsors who showed up in a big way, and a course full of people who have become as much a part of this mission as the work itself. Some faces we have seen all five years. Some were new this year, and we are already hoping to see them again.
Being out on that course is something we look forward to all year. Not just because of what it raises, though what it raises is significant and real. We look forward to it because of the conversations it makes possible. About where HHD has been. About what we have built. About what comes next for the women we serve. Catching up with old HHD friends and making news ones.
This year, we talked about milestones. Two homes now open in Detroit. Program graduates who are building independent lives. A national accreditation through Safe House Project. Residents who are studying, working, and putting down roots. Every round played on June 3rd is connected directly to those outcomes.

Five years in, this was our most successful golf outing yet. The most money we have ever raised at a single event. And it happened because of the people who keep showing up, keep investing, and keep believing that safe housing and healing are worth fighting for in Detroit.
We are already looking forward to June 2, 2027. We hope you will be there for number six.
