A phased program built for real life
Healing takes time, and Haven Homes of Detroit is here for it. Our program is structured enough to create stability and flexible enough to honor where each woman actually is. Most residents move through four phases over 18 to 24 months.

Phase 1 - Months 1-3
Welcome to Haven
The first priority is meeting basic needs and creating safety. Getting settled, getting connected, and beginning to breathe again. No pressure to perform. Just Presence.

Phase 2 - Months 3-12
Consider the Haven
Residents begin working toward self-identified healing goals. Therapy deepens, sobriety builds structure, and the first steps towards education or employment begin.

Phase 3 - Months 12-24
Find Your Way Home
The focus shifts to life after HHD. Residents prioritize savings, housing plans, and family stability. Honest preparations for independence with a real foundation built.

Phase 4 - Post-graduation
Sister for Life
Graduates who choose to stay connected. Some return as mentors. Some become advocates. The HHD community doesn't end at graduation for our residents, it grows.
Support Services at Haven Homes of Detroit
Most people are surprised by how much happens inside our homes. Our program and our network of Detroit-based partners were built around one reality: healing from trafficking requires support across every part of a woman's life. From securing a first ID to navigating child custody, we walk alongside each resident toward the goals she sets for herself.
