We are so encouraged that you’re interested in learning more about Haven Homes of Detroit. We recognize that every survivor’s journey is different, and that finding the right long-term program is an important part of healing. While we wish we could open our doors to everyone, we also know how important it is to ensure that our program is a good fit — both for your individual needs and for the supportive community we’re building together.
To help create the best possible environment for healing and growth, we have program eligibility criteria in place. We encourage you to review the information below to see if Haven Homes of Detroit could be the next step on your journey.
Residential Program Eligibility Criteria

Must identify as a survivor of sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation (including online sexual exploitation).*

Must identify as a cisgender woman.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Must have a history of substance addiction with a minimum of 60 days clean. Individuals participating in MAT programs are welcome.

Cannot have full custody of any children under 18.
Children may visit on weekends for up to 4 hours with staff supervision. -
Applicants must resolve any active warrants prior to program entry.

Regrettably, due to safety reasons and/or our current staffing capacity, we cannot accept individuals who…

Have a history of violent or aggressive behavior

Have severe or untreated psychiatric disorder(s)

Have significant physical disabilities or cognitive impairments

Require a translator

*Individuals with a history of recruiting, trafficking, or otherwise profiting from the sexual exploitation of others are not eligible.
Application Process
If you have questions or would like to apply to, please email HHD’s Program Director,Emily Johnson. After submitting your application, you will receive a phone call to schedule a two-part interview with our leadership team.
Following the interviews, you can expect a call within two weeks to inform you of your acceptance status.
