As we reflect on 2025, one thing is clear. This was a year shaped by community, commitment, and steady progress. From program outcomes to organizational growth, 2025 was a year that strengthened our foundation and reaffirmed why Haven Homes of Detroit exists. The milestones below represent what was made possible through the support, trust, and care of our community.

Closing 2025 with Strong Community Support
We ended the year with an incredible outpouring of generosity.
We began December with a goal of raising $15,000 to close the year strong. Thanks to the response from our community, we reached that goal early and made the decision to stretch it to $25,000.
By December 31, we reached 91% of that expanded goal. With matching funds applied, more than $52,000 was raised through 62 individual donations.
Those gifts directly supported safe housing, consistent staffing, and trauma informed care across our homes. They ensured women had the space and support needed to focus on healing, stability, and planning for their next chapter.
2025 Organizational and Program Highlights
In 2025, Haven Homes of Detroit met all organizational and board goals with the exception of fundraising, where we came within 5%. This was achieved during a year of significant uncertainty across the nonprofit sector, with shifting national funding priorities impacting organizations of all sizes.
Despite these challenges, we are proud of how the organization responded.
We diversified our funding streams to reduce reliance on any single source. We more than doubled our monthly giving community, creating greater stability for year round operations. We began exploring earned revenue opportunities to support long term sustainability.
Most importantly, our programs remained consistent, relationship centered, and grounded in trauma informed care throughout the year.
The Strength of Our Team
One of the greatest strengths of Haven Homes of Detroit in 2025 was our team.
From our Executive Director to residential coaches and program staff, we are supported by a committed group of people who show up every single day for our residents and for one another. Our leadership team has each been with the organization for more than two years, providing continuity, stability, and trusted relationships within our homes.
Their commitment to living out trauma informed care and their willingness to lean into tough conversations and difficult decisions have shaped both our program and organizational culture. Haven Homes of Detroit would not be the same without these people.
They are the ones making it possible to provide homes of healing and to support residents as they write new stories of hope.
Reflecting on a Year of Progress
2025 was not a year of rapid expansion. It was a year of intentional growth, thoughtful decision making, and strengthening what already exists.
We are deeply grateful for the community that walked alongside us throughout the year.
Every milestone reached in 2025 reflects a shared commitment to safe housing, dignity, and long term support for women rebuilding their lives.
As we close the chapter on this year, we do so with gratitude for what was accomplished and confidence in the foundation that has been built.
